Ensemble Luna an exciting new venture in chamber music
Ensemble Luna is an exciting new venture in chamber music led by clarinettist Luan Shaw. The clarinet is central to Ensemble Luna's programmes, but with an emphasis on a wide variety of instrumental combinations (see Sample Programmes).
Musical Director, Luan Shaw began her chamber music career twenty years ago as a finalist in the National Chamber Music Competition, performing at St John's, Smith Square. Since then she has performed well over 100 chamber works at festivals and music societies throughout the UK and abroad and has broadcast some on BBC Radio. She was clarinettist of the Chameleon Ensemble for fifteen years and currently leads the Midland Sinfonia Wind Octet. Luan has also performed chamber works with Manchester Camerata Wind Soloists, Orchestra of the Swan, the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and has appeared in the CBSO Centre Stage chamber music series with musicians from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
